At OILTECH, the production of engineering deliverables is based on the extensive use of software tools that have been chosen to optimize the design, increase productivity and maximize quality.
OILTECH is specifically specialized in some areas of simulation:

Process Flowsheeting

OILTECH engineers are fully conversant with all the most used chemical process simulators and are particularly experienced in the simulation of a large number of gas processing plants (Cryogenic units, Dehydration, Dew Point Control, Sweetening). Thanks to the daily and extensive use of these software packages, we are in position to select the right tool to solve any specific case considering all the particular features of the problem. Most of OILTECH engineers have successfully completed Aspen User Certification Program for both Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus suits.
Some of the below packages are utilized using permanent licences, some using temporary licenses that are procured on project basis.

Pipeline Simulation

Pipeline simulation software enables the design of pipelines and/or networks transporting any gas, liquid or slurry. These simulators are an essential tool to model pipeline hydraulics, optimize their operation and improve their performances.

CFD

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a powerful tool that can be effectively used in a variety of applications. CFD has become in recent years an established industrial design technique that offers greater levels of detail and rigor than traditional simplified approaches. OILTECH experience is particularly deep in the field of phase separation and flow assurance. OILTECH can use the following software packages:

CAD

OILTECH is not a provider of drafting services. The use of CAD systems is limited to the modification and management of drawings that are received from the clients or are produced by subcontractors.

Hardware

At OILTECH we are equipped with a robust and flexible ICT hardware infrastructure that has been conceived to facilitate data exchange and remote use of company’s software resources.

Recently OILTECH ICT structure has been furtherly enhanced to face COVID emergency making more efficient the remote connection of the employees that operate from their homes.
OILTECH ICT system is based on hypervisor virtualization. Corporate data exchange and engineering derivable access utilize a hybrid structure based on an intranet portal that uses Microsoft Technologies.
We can operate remotely using encrypted connectivity managed by a hardware firewall that ensures a very high security standard to data transmission.
Our ICT structure encompasses also onsite and offsite back-up in order to have a copy of the complete infrastructure and guarantee business continuity under any circumstance.
The use of firewall and VPN for remote access ensures the security of user authentication in compliance with the GDPR “General Data Protection Regulation”.

Offices – Milan Premises

OILTECH offices are situated on the southern side of Milan in a location that is well connected to the subway (metro station Line 3 – Corvetto), to the railways (Rogoredo Station), to the highway entrance and is very close to Linate Airport (8 minutes by Taxi).
